Aloo Paneer Paratha Wrap for Indian Breakfast
A creative Indian breakfast dish that combines the flavors of crispy parathas, pan-seared paneer (Indian cheese), and spicy potatoes. This recipe is a twist on traditional breakfast wraps, offering a satisfying and wholesome meal to start the day.
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup Ghee or vegetable oil
- 8 oz Cottage cheese (paneer)
- 2 tsp All-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 2 Green chilies
- 2 large Boiled potatoes
- 1 large Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp Lime juice

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, ghee or vegetable oil, salt, and lukewarm water to form a smooth dough. Knead for 5-7 minutes and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2: Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll out each portion into a thin circle of about 6-7 inches in diameter.

Step 3: Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and cook the parathas, pressing them gently with a spatula, until they are golden brown on both sides.

Step 4: Meanwhile, heat some oil in a separate pan and sauté the chopped onion, grated ginger, minced garlic, green chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala powder until the onion is translucent.

Step 5: Add the boiled potatoes to the pan and stir well to combine with the spice mixture.

Step 6: Once the potatoes are heated through, add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt, and stir well.

💡 Pro Tips
To prevent the parathas from drying out, cook them in batches if necessary. Also, you can adjust the spice level to your liking by adding more or less red chili powder.
