- 2 cups Onion (chopped)

- 1 tsp teaspoon Bengali Five Spice (Panch phoron)
- 1/4 tsp teaspoon Soda Bicarbonate
- 1 tsp teaspoon Salt

Step 1: Mix the hilsa fish pieces with mustard oil, onion, mustard powder, chili flakes, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and five spice powder. Cover and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
