  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Chickpea Flour
  • 2 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 3 pieces Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 cups Curd
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, baking soda, and chickpea flour. Gradually add 1 cup of lukewarm water and mix until a smooth batter forms.

  2. 2

Step 2: Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds and sauté until fragrant.

  3. 3

Step 3: Reduce the heat to low and add the prepared batter. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to dry.

  4. 4

Step 4: Using a spatula, gently fold the batter and cook for another 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Step 5: Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  6. 6

Step 6: Meanwhile, prepare the vada mixture by grinding the ginger paste, green chilies, and garlic paste into a smooth paste.

  7. 7

Step 7: Add the vada mixture to the cooled batter and mix well.

  8. 8

Step 8: Divide the batter into 6 equal portions and shape into balls.

  9. 9

Step 9: Flatten each ball slightly into a disk shape.

  10. 10

Step 10: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the parathas for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

💡 Pro Tips

To prevent the parathas from becoming dry, make sure to cook them over medium heat. Also, don't overmix the batter, or it may become too dense. For an extra crispy texture, you can brush the parathas with a little water before cooking.
