Masala Dosa Pattice Stuffed Omelette
This recipe takes inspiration from the popular South Indian dish, Dosa, and combines it with the ease of a breakfast omelette. Stuffed with spiced potato and onion filling, this omelette is a twist on a classic.
š Ingredients
- 4 pieces Large eggs
- 1/2 cup Finely chopped onion
- 1 cup Boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp tsp Grated ginger
- 2 tbsp tbsp Chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp tsp Red chili powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp tsp Ghee
- 2 cups cups Dosa mix
- for garnish Chopped fresh cilantro

Heat a non-stick pan and add 1 tsp of butter to melt.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.

Add the grated ginger, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for a min.

Add the mashed potatoes and mix well.

Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Heat another non-stick pan and melt 1 tsp of butter.

Add a small amount of dosa mix to the pan and spread evenly.

Pour a small amount of the egg mixture onto the dosa mix and tilt the pan to spread evenly.

Add the spiced potato filling on one half of the omelette.

Fold the other half of the omelette over the filling and cook until the eggs are set.

Flip the omelette over and cook for a minute on the other side.

Serve hot garnished with chopped cilantro.

Use a non-stick pan to flip and fold the omelette easily. Adjust the amount of spiced filling according to your taste. Store leftover omelette in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day.
