Saffron Cardamom Chai
A traditional Indian beverage originating from the Mysore region, flavored with saffron and cardamom. This refreshing drink is perfect for warm summer days.

- 2 cups Black Tea
- 1 liter Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 4 pods Cardamom Pods
- 1/2 teaspoon Saffron Threads
- 2 inches Ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 sticks Cinnamon Sticks

Step 1: Bring the water to a boil in a large saucepan.

Step 2: Add the Ginger and Black Pepper to the boiling water.

Step 3: Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Add the Black Tea leaves to the saucepan and let it steep for 3-4 minutes.

Step 5: Add the milk and Sugar to the saucepan and whisk until dissolved.

For a stronger flavor, use more Black Tea leaves. To make it more authentic, add a few drops of Rose water. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
