Shahi Paneer Rasam
A creamy and spicy rasam soup originating from the royal kitchens of India, made with paneer, spices, and a hint of lemon juice.
🛒 Ingredients
- 250g grams Paneer
- 1 cup Tomato puree
- 1 medium Onion
- 2 cm Ginger
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 bunch Fresh cilantro

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

Add chopped onion, ginger, and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Add the spices (chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala) and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Add the tomato puree and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the paneer and cook until it's well coated with the spice mixture.

Add the lemon juice and stir well.

Season with salt to taste.

Serve hot garnished with fresh cilantro.

To make the soup thicker, you can add a little cornstarch or all-purpose flour to the spice mixture before adding it to the paneer.
