🛒 Ingredients

  • 250g grams Paneer
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cm Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 bunch Fresh cilantro

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

  2. 2

Add chopped onion, ginger, and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.

  3. 3

Add the spices (chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala) and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the tomato puree and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

Add the paneer and cook until it's well coated with the spice mixture.

  6. 6

Add the lemon juice and stir well.

  7. 7

    Season with salt to taste.

  8. 8

Serve hot garnished with fresh cilantro.

  9. 9

To make the soup thicker, you can add a little cornstarch or all-purpose flour to the spice mixture before adding it to the paneer.

  10. 10

If the soup is too thick, you can add a little water to thin it out.

💡 Pro Tips

To make this soup more authentic, you can add a splash of ghee (clarified butter) to the spice mixture for added richness. You can also add some chopped carrots or potatoes for added texture. Always use fresh and high-quality spices to get the best flavor.
